Injured on the Job?

Illinois employers are required by law to provide certain basic benefit to employees who are injured on the job, regardless of whether the employee is at fault. Employers must also provide benefit to employees who contract a work related disease. Employers must pay for medical treatment necessary for the employee to recover for the injury or illness and Temporary Disability benefits for the wages the employee has lost while recovering. In addition, an employee is eligible to receive compensation for the injury if it is more than minimal.
